The second largest park in Uganda, Queen Elizabeth National Park offers very diverse kinds of nature to watch wildlife in.
That afternoon, we went for a cruise on the Kazinga Channel, a few hours boating this connection between Lake George and Lake Edward. We saw an abundance of buffaloes and hippos, with a few crocodiles and a hyena. Apart from those bigger animals, we also saw many birds, especially when we came closer to Lake Edward. An enormous amount of birds of all sizes and colours were gathered here, making for some nice spectacle. It was very easy to see the difference between the various birds, from pelicans with their enormous beaks, to elegant saddle billed storks and yellow billed storks.
