While not the best place to expect an abundance of wildlife, Murchison Falls National Park is still interesting to visit because of its beautiful nature.
After a while, we saw another group of giraffes, this one closer by, and we admired their gracious way of walking and their friendly appearance. Cruising close to a river, we were searching for lions, but no matter how hard we tried and wished to see them, we just did not see one. At one moment, the driver stopped our Landrover, switched off the engine, and we were just intensely watching the environs, listening, looking for signs, but to no avail. Apart from the many antelopes, no big cats around. At least, not visible to us. What remained was driving back to the river crossing, spotting more elephants, giraffes and other animals.
