A visit to the sky burial place of Batang caused me to think about life and death while watching the snowy white landscape surrouding this special place.
Sunlight entered the room, and when I looked out of the window, the surrounding mountains were covered by a fresh layer of snow. Quickly, we were on our way to Batang. I marvelled at the fantastic landscape, the white mountains, frozen lakes, and when we arrived at the Batang plain, I just stepped out and stood still, absorbing the majestic view. It was a short ride up to the actual sky burial site of Batang, the destination of the day. An old woman walked her kora, and I immediately saw the spot where burials take place.
