Birds, monkeys, lizards and beaches in abundance in Manuel Antonio National Park.
The first time I visited Costa Rica was when I had 7 days to spend in Mexico. Unfortunately, I had a problem with my left foot which was so bad that it was difficult for me to walk. So I was very limited in my options what to do in those days. Upon arrival in San José, I took a bus to the Pacific Coast and ended up staying in a small hotel somewhere on the seaside. Every day, I walked to one of the beaches in the National Park close by and spent the day there. These beaches were without exception beautiful, but their added value was their location near the park. This way, also colourful animals often accompanied me on the beach. Birds in many colours, monkeys, huge lizards.... This place certainly had a special touch.
