Charming old streets and alleys, shops and restaurants, views of Stockholm harbour, Gamla Stan is deservedly one of the primary attractions of the Swedish capital.
As far as shopping is concerned, perhaps more interesting than the main shopping street, that is becoming like other shopping streets in other parts of the world, are the unexpected, typical shops you may find in other parts of this small island. Wherever you go, it is impossible to get lost here, you will always end up in either the main street or on one of the waterfronts of the island. For a view over Gamla Stan, you can go to Slussen on the southern side, where an elevator will take you up.
