Birds, monkeys, lizards and beaches in abundance in Manuel Antonio National Park.
While recalling the trip now, it is impossible even with maps and guides to recover the name of the village or the park. I do remember, though, that I was struck by the peacefulness of the environs, the sympathetic people, the nice weather, and the extremely hot sand! Since this area is littered with volcanoes, the sand is dark and therefore absorbs a lot of heat from the sun. On the first day I did not realize the consequences of this fact, and from where I was lying I had to run very fast to the end of the beach, where I felt a burning pain in my feet...
