City of outdoors, Vancouver has many places to go both inside as well as outside its city borders.
I happened to be in Vancouver on a particularly beautiful late summer day, so I decided to rent a bike and explore the city by own force. I started out close to the airport, which is south of the city, and after a quite dangerous part on a semi highway, I was able to choose a smaller road through the suburbs and parks of Vancouver. This eventually took me to the beaches on the southern shores of the city's bay, which offered splendid views of the city's skyline as well as the distant mountains on which snow could still be seen.
