Wild area in the South of Chile, perfect for hiking and camping in the open.
Several Chileans advised me to go all the way to Torres del Paine National Park ,and promised I would not be disappointed. They were right - hiking around the plains, glaciers, lakes and wildlife was a great opportunity to get closer to overwhelming Chilean nature. This area has the fame of being cold year-round, but when I walked here I though it was not so bad as long as you were properly clothed. I rented a tent in Puerto Natales and off I went!
