City of shopping malls and modernization. Singapore has its own charm.
During all those years I visited the city, I saw many characteristic buildings disappear and make way for even more, higher and huger shopping malls. I have survived all the efforts of the local authorities to get me a cold, because getting from the tropical temperatures outside to the icy climate inside, and back, is not healthy for anyone. I have had to stand all the rude people in the shops who are sometimes too unkind to answer even the most common questions. I have had to think of throwing away chewing gum before entering the country.
