City of shopping malls and modernization. Singapore has its own charm.
Ever since my first visit to Singapore I have desperately sought to find the charm of this city. I have been to whatever small areas remain of Chinatown and Little India, I have been to the modern parts where people are supposed to live, I have been to the shopping centres where more than anywhere else in the world materialism is King, I have been going out to pubs and discotheques, I have been to Sentosa island, waterskiing in the sea between Singapore and Malaysia, I have been high-teaing in several luxurious restaurants... But I have not managed to discover what seems to be so attractive to so many people.
