On the Seychelles, as in other island nations, fish is an important ingredient in the national cuisine. You can see fishermen in action anywhere you go.
Fishermen sometimes also throw out a net, and come back to the beach after 10 minutes to pull the net ashore. Amazingly, it is already full, with marketwomen waiting for the fish to be taken out of the net and put onto a string (sometimes still alive...). Even further away from the sea, you can see people cycling around with fish hanging from their bikes, and selling directly on the streets. While the fishermen rest, their boats still decorate the sea and beaches.
