Rome is not only a city full of history and religion, culture and cuisine, it is also full of fountains of many sorts and sizes
Rome can be very warm in summer, and it is therefore important to have possibilities to cool down while visiting this city. Despite the existence of airconditioning and other technological solutions, this problem is still there as it was for many centuries. Consequently, the eternal city is littered with fountains. Some of them are famous, some of them are not much more than an opening in the wall from which water comes out. Some of them are delicately designed, some of them are only functional. They all serve the same goal: serve water to passers-by.
