On our way to Mount Nimba, we covered our heads with one of the huge leaves to be found here.
We left by small Air Guinée plane for N'Zerékoré and from there continued mostly in taxis. This part of the country is plain jungle, or "le forêt" as the locals call it. After spending some days around Lola, we went up with an old jeep to reach Mount Nimba. We also visited a research centre where a sample of one of the rare species of frogs was kept, which was shown to us with pride by the director of the research centre.
