Sculpture garden and art museum right on the eastern coast of Denmark, Louisiana is one of the must-sees of the country. Its location and the art it holds, both in- and outside make Lousiana a pleasant day trip from Copenhagen.
The museum was founded in 1958 and has grown considerably ever since. The work on display here comes from world-famous artists like Giacometti, PIcasso and Warhol, as well as Danish artists. Apart from the permanent collection, there are also temporary exhibitions with a theme, and they always attract work of renowned artists, both Danish and international. Unfortunately, during my visit part of the permanent exhibition was closed for renovation.
