Haitians are famous for their painting skills; you can enjoy them even without going to a gallery: you can find many examples by looking around in the streets.
Apart from the intricate paintings, you can also see a lot of signs that, especially when you can read French or Creole, can be funny, interesting, touching, religious, and revealing. Some are exemplary of the country and the living conditions of the Haitians. You can find the entire menu of a restaurant artistically painted on a wall, or an offer for an article on sale exposed outside a shop, but also an entire advertisement as a mural.
