Walking the Doha Corniche

The most obvious thing to do when in Doha, is walk the Corniche, along the waterfront of Doha Bay. Best times are early morning or evening, when the climate is pleasant; the Corniche is most crowded in the early evening.
As the sun went down, the light got better, the temperature more bearable, and I noticed that more and more people flocked to the waterfront. Fishermen had a great time - I saw them pulling fish out of the water very regularly. The people I saw were from all walks of life: traditionally dressed locals, Arabs with their inevitable red-and-white keffiyeh, but also fashionably dressed Arabs, Indians or Bangladeshi, other foreigners in flashy clothes doing a workout. The atmosphere was very friendly, in many of the green patches, families would sit down for a picnic, others were sitting on the border of the Corniche. The sunset was clear: instead of gradually blurring away before the horizon, it was very clear until disappearing behind it.
