Copenhagen is inevitably linked to the water around it, and strolling along the waterfront takes you to many picturesque corners of the city.
One of the special features of Copenhagen includes the fact that it is built on and around water. Therefore, exploring the city can perfectly start with a stroll alongside its waterfront. This will allow to see some of the major sights of the city, and it will also offer picturesque views of Copenhagen's canals. On its eastern side, Copenhagen faces the sea and you can actually see large ocean liners docked here. Walking towards Slotsholmen from the seaside to the city centre does not take more than some 15 minutes.
